LinkedIn competes with Clubhouse and Twitter Spaces with Audio Rooms

LinkedIn is going to be adding Audio Rooms to its platform. This will allow users to tune into live discussions, with the ability to participate simply by raising their virtual hand, or posting reactions in response to what speakers are saying.

After the event has finished, users will be able to make connections with other attendees, allowing them to network with people they previously wouldn’t have been able to. With Covid sticking around for at least the near future, Audio Rooms definitely seem apt for LinkedIn and will help transform the network into a pandemic-friendly platform.

What do you think? Is LinkedIn - the professional social network site - being innovative and improving its connection and interaction capabilities, or is it a bit late to the party and simply copying the likes of Clubhouse and Twitter Spaces?
